Prairie Rotors is an aerial inspection and surveying company providing services across multiple industries. While our primary focuses are surveying in the energy industry, and aerial filming in the Film and Television Industry, we have the capability to service other industries. Although a relatively new company Prairie Rotors strives to be a recognized performance leader in the Alberta Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (“UAV”) industry, via operational excellence, quality and timely service, and superior financial performance. Prairie Rotors is an innovative evolving company that continuously learns new ways of using UAV platforms to complete difficult and complex jobs.

Founded in 2014 by Derek Doolaege, Prairie Rotors came about after Derek’s love for technology intersected with his farm background, and when he discovered that UAV technology could benefit numerous industries in a positive way. Derek holds a commercial helicopter license as has experience with flying helicopters, which provides Prairie Rotors with the skills it needs to provide UAV services while sharing airspace in a safe and effective manner.

All of Prairie Rotors’ operations are conducted in a time efficient manner, leaving a minimal carbon footprint.  Prairie Rotors is dedicated to giving its customers the very best service, with a focus on safety, friendly crews, and budgetary restraints.
